Pet-it is an app for pet owners: pet profiles, lost, found and adoption listings, community and chat. Here is how to delete your account and what happens to your data.
1. From the app (recommended)
- Open Pet-it and sign in.
- In the My Pack tab, tap your profile photo (top) and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, type DELETE.
Your account stops working right away and your data is erased within minutes. If the process is interrupted, it completes on its own in less than an hour.
2. Without access to the app
Email contactopetit.app@gmail.com from the address you registered with, using the subject Delete my account. We handle it within 30 days and confirm by email.
3. What gets deleted
- Your user, email, phone number, profile photo and settings.
- Pets you are the only owner of, with their posts, photos, videos, stories, health records and routines.
- Your lost, found and adoption listings, your professional profiles and your community posts.
- The comments, likes and reviews you left, your saved posts, blocks, reports and notifications.
- Your sign-in with email, Google or Apple.
4. What is kept
- Chat messages you sent remain visible to the other person, with your name replaced by "Deleted account" and without your photo.
- Pets you share with other owners stay in their accounts.
- A technical record that the account was deleted, for security and to handle complaints. It is erased automatically after 90 days.
- Reports other people made about your account, with the reported messages. They are erased after one year.
